Ok, so here's the partially finished Forge World Wolf Guard. I've experimented with how I want the Lightening Claws to look - I think that they have come out pretty well. I haven't been able to find all that many examples of power weapons actually powered up, so I kind of made it up as I went along. Pictures of completed to follow!
Here's one of the Wolf Scouts I put together before the new stuff came out. I scraped the normal SM scout heads bald and then added green stuff hair. I've got a few more of these to finish up so will post a few WIP pics soon :)

Another Dreadnought pic, pre-repainting. I converted this from the AOBR Dreadnought. Made some wolf fur with Green Stuff and cleaned the front of the sarcophagus up and added some SW symbols. Pretty easy to do and nice and cheap if you can trade for the AOBR Dread :)

First post!!

Ok so here's a couple more pictures
from the Wolves I've done recently. I actually started out with another Wolf Lord in mind, you may notice his runes on the Dreadnought and the Lord himself. It was after I read
some of the new fluff that I decided that he wasn't the best Wolf Lord that would fit my play style.
Krom Dragongaze likes to keep a lot of Wolf Guard around him, and since I love the variety of Wolf guard that can be made I thought it should
definitely be the direction I should be heading. I'll soon repaint the areas with the old runes on them, and re -do them in Dragongaze's.
Next post should have pics of that all finished :)

Welcome to Dragongazer!

I've started this blog as a way to share my love of Warhammer - specifically Space Wolves. I'm going to use it as a good way for me to document the progress I've made on my army. Updates may be sporadic at best, real life does seem to cut into my hobby time far too much, but I guess that's the way it has to be for now.

I've only been in the hobby for a couple of years now, but it didn't take me long to find my way to the Space Wolves. One of the staff that I met at my local Games Workshop gave me all the incentive I needed to invest hours into these interesting Marines. He told me; "They are Space Marines that drink, wench and brawl - a bit like space vikings". They sounded so different to the ever popular Ultramarines that I had seen and heard so much about.

So I went for it, and here I am today. I'll update again in a couple of days with some newly painted stuff. Until then, have fun!

Andrew.
